The Respect Life Committee, an offshoot of the Dutchess County Respect Life Vicariate, works closely with Birthright. It promotes pro-life activities to support the unborn and the elderly. They work with unwed mothers and with the elderly at Castle Point Hospital. This group is hoping to become more active and grow in size.
Every Wednesday, members of the Legion of Mary pray the Rosary outisde of the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. Please see the Legion of Mary page on this website for more information.
Each year in January, parishoners of the Parish of Saint Mary, Mother of the Church travel by bus to Washington D.C. to the annual March for Life to protest the tragic Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in our country. More information on the March for Life will be made available on the parish website and bulletin as January draws near.
