St. Mary’s Council 4065 Columbiettes–a united international organization of Catholic women dedicated to our Patroness, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Theresa the Little Flower, and Saint Joan of Arc, are comprised of affiliated auxiliaries of the Knights of Columbus.
Founded in 1939–Monsignor J. Francis McIntyre, at that time Chaplain of the New York Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, conceived the idea of a ladies organization to work with the Knights of Columbus. On March 2, 1939 the first Columbiettes were instituted in New York City to promote the spiritual, social and charitable welfare of our members, safeguarding the religious, civil and economic right of all Catholics as we rely upon the intercession of Mary, our Mother and model for guidance as we give assistance to the Knights of Columbus.
We hold various fund raisers throughout the year to support our programs and to enable us to give to local charities.
Membership is open to all Catholic women over the age of 17
