The heart of our Religious Education Program's mission is the passing on of our treasured Catholic faith to our young people. 
Central to this faith is experiencing and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  

While nothing surpasses the fatih that is lived in family life, we offer 2 dynamic formats for supporting families who seek to educate their  children in developing this relationship with Jesus Christ as well as forming their Catholic identity. 

Weekly Religious Education Sessions

Weekly Religious Ed Classes:                                                                                                     The grade K-8 program provides an opportunity for a systematic, foundational presentation
of the Faith in a variety of teaching and learning styles through the different catechists
and classmates they encounter. Classes meet weekly for 30 -32 weeks each year-and 90 minutes in length (mid-September until May).    These classes are suplemented by the participation of families in 5 required activities via our Family Passport to Faith.

Family Passport:
As part of our weekly class option and in order to accommodate the needs of our parish and to fulfill the requirements of the Archdiocese for Family Catechesis all families ase asked to participate in the Family Catechesis Passport to Family Faith with a participation requirement of 5 approximately 1 hr Family projects /events each year. 
These are offered in many flexible formats that families can choose.  (See Passport Brochure for the year's offerings)
** Passport activities are built in to the Family Centered Faith Formation calendar.

Mass Attendance:  Attending Mass is central to our Catholic Faith.  It is expected that all families in our Religious Education program attend Mass weekly and on Holy Days of Obligation

Building Family Faith Family Catechesis Option:  (B.F.F. Program)

This Option for Religious Education engages both parent and child in the formation journey.  Families come together on a monthly basis Sunday mornings at either 8:20 AM OR at 10:50 for the 'Gathered Session' approximately 10 times during the calendar year.    2023-24  Calendar Here

Currently our BFF Program is offered for families with children in grades PreK- 5.

Parents attend parent workshops related to general Adult Faith Formation topics which are structured to renew their own faith and assist them in leading their children as they grow in the knowledge of their Catholic faith.   Parents spend time sharing with other parents as they discover their common

Children attend grade level review / seasonal classes during the time their Parents are in their workshop.  They meet with a trained Catechist who reviews their lesson and monitors their home lessons.  

In between the monthly sessions Parents work with their children on 3-4 lessons in their grade level curriculum.     

Mass Attendance:  Attending Mass is central to our Catholic Faith.  It is expected that all families in our Religious Education program attend Mass weekly and on Holy Days of Obligation.   As part of the BFF program, we attempt to attend the 9:45 AM Mass together. 

Seasonal and Passport Activities:  As part of this program we will have seasonal family activities and a service opportunity to complete as a group.
